Left-Wing Columnist Links the Rosary with “Gun Culture”

In an August 14 article by The Atlantic titled, How Extremist Gun Culture Is Trying to Co-Opt the Rosary, left-wing radical Daniel Panneton lashes out in a fit of frustration against the Holy Rosary, which is a glaring testament of the dread the Rosary causes Lucifer, the king of radicals.
In an obnoxious show of ignorance the article opens by saying, “Just as the AR-15 rifle has become a sacred object for Christian nationalists in general, the rosary has acquired a militaristic meaning for radical-traditional (or “rad trad”) Catholics. On this extremist fringe, rosary beads have been woven into a conspiratorial and absolutist gun culture. These armed radical traditionalists have taken up a spiritual notion that the rosary can be a weapon in the fight against evil.”
The Rosary is the weapon to fight evil, so what. Does the author have something against this? Does he defend evil? Does he not realize he is showing his hand?
And does he not realize that this weapon of the Rosary has been actively employed by the Church for centuries? This militant use of the Rosary is nothing new, it didn’t just appear on the heels of the AR-15 rifle. St. Dominic in the 12th century cast out devils through the Rosary. St. Pius V in the 16th century miraculously defeated the Muslims through the Rosary. The Rosary truly is “the weapon” to defeat evil — especially the present-day evils of globalism and communism — which is why the Marxist “rad-libs” of the Atlantic are venting their anxiety.
