Christ’s Action in the Temple: A Warning for Today’s Clergy

David Martin | The Daily Knight

Each year during Holy Week it is read in the Churches how Christ went into the temple and drove out the wrong doers and money changers for profaning the temple with their worldly enterprises. The priests and deacons delivering these readings appear to agree with Christ’s action in the temple, but hasn’t it occurred to them that Christ would do the very same thing today if he walked among us? Have our bishops and priests forgotten that Christ’s action in the temple was to serve as a lesson for future generations that God’s wrath is especially enkindled against those who abuse the House of God for self-gain and gratification?

The worst of it is that we see this Temple abuse carried on today in the name of God, which is perhaps the worst form of using God’s name in vain, if not the worst. In the name of God *we see clergy and laity peddling heresy, ecumenism, and protestantism, along with other aberrations like the Charismatics, LGBT embrace, “transgender” inclusion, and the infamous Synod on Synodality. Everywhere we see Catholic Churches used for concerts, plays, theatrical skits, socializing, and all manner of secular business that have nothing to do with God but have everything to do with Satan and his agents who push this pollution. The Church in our time has virtually been reduced to a humanist merry-go-round.

Irreverence and Error Have Warped our Conception of Christ’s Church

Because of all this busy-body activity, approximately 70-80 percent of the Church has now lost the awareness of Christ’s Physical and supernatural presence on the altar. Some surveys even say that a mere 10% of today’s Catholics believe in Christ’s Real Presence in the Holy Eucharist. The incessant promotion of the following errors have also fueled the widely held notion that the Church is just a meeting hall for human encounter and “dialogue.”

· The Mass by definition is a memorial

· The Mass is a community meal

· The Mass is an assembly or community gathering

· The Eucharist is blessed bread

· The Catholic faithful are part of a “common priesthood”

· Communion in the hand is blessed by God

· The Holy Spirit guided the changes since Vatican II

· Unity with the world and Mass in the vernacular are the work of God

· God wants to empower women to help lead the Church

· Christ did not exclusively found the Roman Catholic Church

· Luther was a “witness to the Gospel” who corrected abuses in the Church

· Other religions can provide a means to salvation

· Ecumenism is the work of the Holy Spirit to unite the Church

· The Church should not correct homosexuals but should welcome them

Marxist Jesuits the Key Culprits

It is the fallen Jesuits of red orientation that have been largely responsible for the present-day profanation of the Church. So many among the clergy have been bought off by the enemies of the Faith, i.e., bought to push LGBT inclusion, to pollute souls, and to destroy the knowledge of our Christian past (tradition).

So, a wholesome meditation for Holy Week 2025 is to pause and reflect on what Christ would do today if he walked into our churches amidst all the dialogue and merry-making, and amidst all the clamor for women deacons and priests. The following quote from Jesus to his servant Veronica of the Cross should erase any doubt as to what He would do.

“No woman shall stand in My House to represent Me! How dare you bring in this heresy to My House! I shall go among you and I shall sling you out from My temples!” (December 27, 1975)

*On the flip side, we see a Catholic revival today, even among many young priests, who aspire for a return of sound doctrine and the universal return of the Traditional Latin Mass. For obvious reasons, these good clergy are not in the category of those mentioned in this article.
